My Top 3 Bucket List Travel Destinations

Determining my top three travel destinations has been challenging. I love to travel, and I particularly enjoy cruising. At this point in my life, I want to plan a vacation, set the main details, take some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and enjoy myself.

I have been on different cruises to many destinations in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico. As far as non-cruise destinations outside the continental US, I have been to Greece and Alaska. I would love to return to both locations, especially Greece.

I want to travel to many destinations worldwide, and I have a working list, but thinking of specific destinations and itineraries has been a challenge. I want to visit many European countries, Asia, Africa, South America, Canada, Hawaii, Australia, and many states in the US. But I haven’t thought too deeply as to where in those places I want to travel. It’s almost a decision paralysis. So, I think taking a cruise to many destinations would be a great introduction to areas to determine where I need to return.

I love taking cruises because most things on a cruise are included, so the majority of the planning is done before the trip, so when you arrive, you don’t have a million decisions to make. The ship is also a moving hotel, so you don’t have to worry about moving your luggage.

1. European Cruise

I want to go to so many places in Europe: the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, to name a few. I can’t decide where to start—so, going on a European cruise to see multiple places to get a taste of each place so I can determine if there is anywhere that I absolutely MUST return to.

While traveling between European countries is easy because the infrastructure is well built for that, I don’t want to consider the planning portion at this point in my life. I would LOVE to plan a multi-country European trip one day, but going on a cruise sounds better in terms of planning.

There are many European cruise itineraries, such as Northern Europe, Mediterranean Cruise, and Western Europe. I have only been to Santorini, Greece, for a yoga retreat so those itineraries would be fantastic.

One day, I would love to plan a multi-country European trip. One day, I would love to have the capacity to be able to make the decisions to plan that style of travel, but right now, with everyday life decisions that are beyond the mental capacity I have right now. So, if all I am able to do is European cruises in my lifetime, I would be happy.

2. Asian Cruise

I don’t know why, but travel to Asia is so intimidating to me. I would love to visit various countries in China, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, and the Philippines, just to name a few.

So, just like Europe, I would love to begin my travels with an Asian cruise. Typical Asian cruise Itineraries include East Asia, South East Asia, and Asian Islands. Again, doing a cruise can allow you to visit multiple locations to experience the culture and then decide what countries/cities you would like to return.

One day, I would love to plan a trip to Asia. I would love to have the capacity to be able to make the decisions to plan that style of travel, but right now, with everyday life decisions that are beyond the mental capacity I have right now. So, if all I am able to do is Asian cruises in my lifetime, I would be happy.

3. Greece

I have been to Santorini, Greece, and I loved that trip so much. It is a destination I would love to return to and pick another island to explore. But there are so many islands that a Greek Isle cruise would be a great option to get a sneak peek into another island to return to and explore more.

4. Honorable Mention

I am a HUGE Disney nerd, and I want to go on every Disney Cruise Line Ship and go to all of the Disney Parks around the world. This is more than one specific destination but more experiences that would make my heart so happy over several years.

Of all of the places I want to travel to, so long as I go to these destinations, European cruise, Asian cruise, Greece, and going on all the Disney ships and parks in my lifetime. I will be so happy.
