About me
As an active and outdoorsy Colorado native, I spent my childhood in Denver before moving to Durango, a small mountain town in the southwestern part of the state. I love exploring the outdoors, and Durango offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities. The Rocky Mountains are just a short distance away, making it an excellent location for my active lifestyle. Although, I must admit that living in a small town is quite different from living in a big city.
Recently, my husband and I purchased a home in a neighboring town, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I was inspired to share my experiences and opinions about backpacking, hiking, camping, strength training, yoga, travel, and cooking on my blog. I found myself reading blog after blog when I was getting started on various activities. Thus, I want to help others interested in leading an active lifestyle.
Being active is one of my favorite ways to pass the time while building healthy habits that will last a lifetime. I earned my personal training certification and offer personal training and membership options. Besides, I am an animal lover with three fur babies: two cats, Lily, a 7-year-old brown tabby, and Tater, an 8-year-old orange cat, who are best friends and love to play and chase each other. I also rescued Lyla, a 6.5-year-old blue heeler mix, from the local humane society.

“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”

I find that quote so inspiring. Hard work will pay off in the future, but you also have to live in the moment, and I feel like taking care of yourself is doing both. You are doing good for yourself now and for your future self.
